Over the past five years, Ian J. Cook, CHRP, greatly evolved the membership offering of the British Columbia Human Resources Management Association and the profile of the HR profession.  His presence and contributions will be missed as he moves on to the role of thought-leader with Visier Analytics.

“We have accomplished some great things together that will continue to serve our members well and we all wish Ian the very best,” said Simon Evans, CHRP, CEO of BC HRMA. “As we transition, we look forward to establishing new milestones.”

As Ian Cookdirector of BC HRMA’s research and learning function, Ian’s energies and efforts served both his direct team and the membership well. Creating actions and outcomes that served the broader profession was a primary driver for Ian. His focus was always fixed on member experience—from his development of the HR Metrics Service to his leadership of the team that delivers the CHRP designation and the BC HRMA professional development program. In addition to generating research papers, Ian was instrumental in the implementation of the association’s new website and membership information software.

Please join us in thanking Ian for his contributions and wishing him the best in his new endeavors.
